Originally built in 1876 by the Higginbotham’s as a General Store the store was a hub for steamboats traveling the Cumberland River.  As technology improved and water travel lessened the original store was closed.  In 2018 the store was reopened by the previous owners with importance placed on maintaining the historical integrity of the building.  In continuing that tradition we are making every effort to preserve the historical nature of the building including keeping the original shelving and display cases.  Stop by to see a truly historical work of art.

In addition to the historical nature of the building we also serve fresh made deli sandwiches and hand dipped ice cream. Our store features Kentucky products and hard to find vintage products.  We make every effort to include Kentucky made products as well as United States made products in our store.
