And this, my friends, is Grandma Grant’s Mississippi Mud Cake. This a made from scratch chocolate cake that is somewhere between a brownie and a cake. It is chewy but not too chewy. It is smothered in marshmallow cream and topped with a made from scratch chocolate frosting. Soooo good. It is my Aunt Mary’s go to cake. It is requested by our family at every gathering. We think it is delicious. Hope you do, too!!

So this Ugly Duckling Cake also known as Old Time Fruit Cocktail Cake. It combines fruit cocktail, coconut, eggs, and other goodies to create a moist, delicious summertime cake. I fondly remember sitting on my grandma’s porch and savoring each bite. It was my mom’s favorite cake. Hope you like it as much as we do!💕
