So … many of you know that my first job was at a Dairy Dee scooping ice cream and making banana splits. But few of you know what my second job was.…it was tending to the candy counter at JC Penney. Are you sensing a food theme here? More on that later. So while at the candy counter, I, of course, had to sample what we were selling so I could advise the customer about the candy. We sold a Rocky Road Candy. It wasn’t really a fudge but it was chocolatety. It tasted like it ...had peanut butter in the chocolate and it had miniature marshmallows, peanuts, and walnuts in it. It was pretty amazing and for 40 years, I have tried to find it to no avail. So, if you can’t buy it, you make it. This is my attempt to recreate that yummy confection and I am very happy with the result. I can’t wait for you to try it this week. Look for it in our candy case near the fudge!💕
